Q2 2024 Android App Insights: Top Fast Food Chains in the US

As the fast food industry continues to integrate technology into its business model, Sensor Tower's latest data provides an overview of the Android app performance for top fast food chains in the US during the second quarter of 2024.

McDonald's app experienced a fluctuating trend in downloads starting at 7K in the first week of April and dipping to a low of 4K in May, before rebounding to over 5K by the end of June. Weekly active users showed a significant peak of 218K in late May, despite a general trend of fluctuation throughout the quarter.

The Burger King - Portugal app downloads also saw variability, with a high of 3K in April, a dip to 2K in May, and a slight recovery to 2.8K in early June. Weekly active users remained fairly stable, hovering around 39K at the start of April and decreasing to just under 34K by the end of June.

For Pizza Hut Portugal, the downloads showed an interesting spike in late April reaching over 600, but this was not sustained, as the numbers fell to just over 100 in May and then rose again to nearly 500 by the end of June. Active user data for Pizza Hut Portugal was not provided.

The app for McDonald’s Deutschland showed a relatively low volume of downloads, with the highest at 189 in late May. Weekly active users started at 1.2K in April and saw a peak of 1.6K in late May, before settling at 1.2K again by the end of June.

Lastly, Burger King Nederland had modest download numbers that remained under 100 for most of the quarter, with a slight increase to 99 in late May. Weekly active users started at 347 in early April, dipped to 289 by the end of that month, and showed a slight increase back to 327 by late June.
